The Whistler Group was founded in 1971. They manufacture radar/laser detectors
and other mobile electronics. Since 2014, they also manufacture radio scanners
after acquiring the radio technical assets from GRE.

Since november 2024, their website is down without notice, and they no longer
answer phone calls. There are various rumors on the net, like the company is now
out of business, is just moving shop or has been sold and will reopen under new
management in 2025. Time will tell.
