This is a low priority section for analog and digital baby monitors. Why this section? Because these are RF devices of course. Some of them may even be modified and/or repurposed for ham use, and this section may help you decide what to do with your baby monitor once you no longer need it for its original purpose. Unmodified, you can even use these units as wireless extension speakers. Just place the transmitter (Baby unit) in the shack next to your ham transceiver, and bring the receiver (Parent unit) with you around the house. If your baby monitor has a talkback function, then as a bonus, turn on the VOX on your ham transceiver and transmit back from the parent unit. Then it will basically become a wireless speaker-microphone. And if you're into ATV, just point a video baby unit at your ATV/DATV monitor and you will have a local link covering your house. NB! I have absolutely no ambition to research and add baby monitors on a larger scale, just a selection of them due to the various interesting radio technologies involved. Sadly though, manuals for this type of equipment are mainly written for non-technical users, and specific details are often left out. Items in this section will be added very slowly and randomly.
